President Obama's health care bill appears to be on its way to becoming law. The Senate's passage of the measure seems to assure its final passage by Christmas.

The Doctor Ordered?
After long and hard fought sessions that sometimes got quite loud,
Obama's Senate Democrats cast a vote to make him proud.
In the end he had to compromise on Medicare and such;
But millions more Americans will now be put in touch
With coverage for what ails them, with no "pre-existing" hedge.
The vote of Sixty-Forty gave Democrats the edge.
The fight was hard and heavy; it never was quiescent;
So Obama now is waiting to sign his Christmas present.
