President Obama is returning to the White House because of the approach of Hurricane Irene. He urges Americans in the path of the storm to heed their local officials and evacuate if advised to do so.
Tempest Tossed
The president is cutting short
His family’s vacation;
He wants to help hold down the fort
And be there for the nation.
He says those threatened shouldn’t wait
As officials track Irene;
If the order is “evacuate”
Be quick to change your scene.
