A. J. Foyt will be driving the pace car at the Indy 500 on Memorial Day. Donald Trump has announced his schedule and possible political plans make it inappropriate for him to take part.
Trumped Out
A.J. is in, now, for the Donald
As the person who’ll be setting the pace
For the drivers at the Indy 500
When they gather to drive in that race.
Mr. Trump says there’s simply no time now
To give it his full concentration;
And besides, he just may announce soon
His intentions to run our great nation.
With news folks seem perpetually waiting
To hear what the man has to say,
There are those who ponder and wonder
What it would take to make Trump go away.
