Recy Taylor is touring Washington after the state of Alabama apologized for never charging the men accused of assaulting her in 1944. Following her kidnapping and assault, two grand juries refused to indict anyone.
A Sorry State
Ms. Taylor got a White House tour
After being assaulted in ’44;
A fate that’s now been recognized
As her home state apologized.
Officials are sorry, they finally say,
For letting the bad guys get away.
