MGM blames financial problems for its decision to put production hold for the 23rd 007 film. Meantime, there's speculation that another studio might step into the breach to keep the super-spy alive and killing.

What'll happen to James Bond?
Will the economy, at last, do in
The hero of whom we're fond?
Will another studio step up
And be the benefactor?
If so, will it seek some better plots
And find another actor?
