Newt Gingrich blames poor attendance for his decision to forego a campaign appearance in South Carolina. A spokesman says, among other things, the former speaker of the House plans a tour of a children’s hospital.

Newt’s curbing things out on the road,
Changing his campaigning mode;
He’ll test out his wings
With some other things,
Mainly ‘cause few people showed.
