Edwards jurors told not to discuss the case

The judge in the John Edwards trial has told the jury not to talk about the case during the long holiday weekend. U.S. District Judge Catherine C. Eagles told the jurors to hold any discussions of the case until they’re back together in the jury room.

      In Recess

The jury is taking
A holiday break
With John Edwards’ freedom
Still clearly at stake.

The judge told the members
To keep their mouths shut;
Not to mention the case
Or discuss just what’s what.

Meantime, an alternate,
To some, disconcerting,
Was seen smiling at John
And what some see as flirting.
