Senate will work the holiday

The Senate will pass on its July 4 break to work on reducing the federal deficit.  Earlier, President Obama had urged the lawmakers to work quickly to extend the government's ability to borrow money.

the folks in the senate

are taking a bye
on plans for a recess
this fourth of july.

there are taxes to deal with

plus they also must tend
to leaving the nation
with money to spend.
